System Update Readiness Tool - Windows Vista/7 & Windows Server 2008/2008 R2
Sometimes, Windows System files can be corrupted and the only way to detect is to use System Update Readiness.
It is recommended to run the latest System Update Readiness Tool before applying Windows Service Pack.
The System Update Readiness tools (KB947821) can be downloaded from Microsoft.
